This is a lunch I had with my friends Aaron and Marie on a recent trip to Hawaii, at Nishi Mon Cho Ramen in Manoa Marketplace. The broth wasn’t my favorite (compared to Goma Tei, for example) and I thought that there were too many onions, but I liked the noodles, the beef was tender, and I loved having the option of topping off my ramen with bamboo shoots! They had many other ramen options as well as different appetizers, rice and meat dishes, and combination meals. Overall, the value of the offerings can’t be beat for a fast but filling lunch, and I would go back.
